Dr. Vijay Jayakrishnan

Dr Vijay Jayakrishnan is an Interventional Neuroradiologist with 30 years of global experience. At present, Dr Vijay Jayakrishnan is heading the Clinical Imaging & Interventional Radiology department, Aster Medcity, Kochi, India. Prior to working with Aster Medcity India, he worked as Consultant with the James Cook University Hospital and Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust, Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Dr. Vijay Jayakrishnan currently is the Lead consultant for Endovascular Interventional radiology for the Aster group of hospitals and is senior member of the Quality steering group for Aster Medical Imaging. Dr Vijay has performed more than 1000 intracranial aneurysm embolization procedures as primary operator and has experience from close to 3000 neuro interventional procedures including many cases of Intracranial Stenting, Flow Remodeling, Balloon Remodeling, and head and neck tumour embolisation, management of spinal vascular abnormalities.
